Dreamweaver

Text and Images

Overview

Now that you are familiar with the Dreamweaver Work Environment, it's time to get started on creating a Web page, and then, a Web site. The majority of most Web page content is text, so that is what will begin with, followed by images, and Image Attributes.

Here is a summary of some of the topics in this lecture:

Text Entry
Here we learn how to add basic text, as well as cutting, copying and pasting.
Basic Text Formatting
Dreamweaver has some very useful features when it comes to text formatting. Even using the most basic ones can speed your work considerably.
CSS Formatting
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are the best way to format text as well as many other elements of a Web page. We'll learn how Dreamweaver works with CSS styles and style sheets.
Importing
Dreamweaver can import several types of files, and convert them to HTML. Some versions of Dreamweaver can also import HTML created by other programs and "clean up" the code.
Inserting Images
Inserting images is easier than ever with Dreamweaver. Just a click of a button, and you can choose your image, and place it in the document.
Image Attributes
Once an image is placed into the document, you may need to change the attributes of the image to suit your needs. You will learn how to do this.
